Author: This phrase may actually indicate that couples should be invited to baby showers. However, that is not the case, in fact it is the husband of the mother-to-be who invites his friends to a baby shower party.
Fortunately it has become more common over the last generation that more men are participating in the whole childbirth experience. Many men are now also involved in the birth itself, assisting the mother with coaching and helping her endure the stress. Having this in mind, it is not peculiar to imagine that men are participating in baby showers.
The decision to have men at the baby shower – meaning friends of the father – is a decission that obviously have to be made by both would-be parents. Dont take for granted, or decide this without your husbands agreeing to it.
If you come to the decision to invite men, subsequently make sure that this is reflected on the invitation. In addition, keep in mind that many men consider Sunday to be a holy day in more than just sacred terms. During football season in the USA from October through to January, Sunday is a significant day for many men. Coming to their friends Baby shower may be the event they are totally not motivated for.
Moreover if you wish to throw a Baby Shower on a Sunday, check that it is not Super Bowl Sunday! Furthermore there is a period in March tenderly named March Madness, which is an important time for a vast number of men.
If you’re not sure of when these special moments are, consult with your neighboring sports nut. They will be capable to advise you when high and low season are.
Also be aware that some of the feminine elements of a traditional baby shower such as, the Tea Party theme – must almost certainly go out the window. Find something compelling and entertaining, or if at all feasible, gender neutral.
Recall overly that due to cultural upbringing, many men are not into the dainty side of life. So while they will willingly be there to support their friend the father-to-be, don’t anticipate they all get teary eyed while they talk about why “Little Women” was the most important book in their life.
